Parenting April
Beware the pendulum swinging. I have been alive long enough to know that when it comes to expert opinion, and public opinion, a pendulum swings back and forth. For example, formula versus breast feeding; circumcision versus no circumcision; and cloth nappies versus disposables. Medical experts have given conflicting advice around these areas over the years, and public opinion has definitely changed. But, I believe there will always be both breast and formula fed babies in Australia (for a variety of reasons); and some baby boys who are circumcised (whether for religious or medical reasons); and parents who choose to use cloth nappies rather than disposable.
As a parent, the important thing, is not which choices you make, but rather that you do not get caught up in an extremist mindset. By this, I mean, keep an open mind, not judging others for their choices, and you are more likely to be content with your own decisions.
