My colleague Samantha and I are presenting a support group for first-time parents in their second or third trimester.
The six weekly sessions cover topics such as nappy changing, feeding, bathing, sleep routines, and parent's wellbeing. There will also be ample opportunity to chat and connect with other local expectant parents. This is a practical, friendly, social and compassionate group and we would love to see you there as you embark on your exciting journey into parenthood!

For those who might be, or who know somebody who might be experiencing different emotions in the lead up to, or early days of parenting. Join us for a SMALL GROUP discussion, to ask questions and meet Debra, (Registered Nurse) from Good Health and Parenting. You will learn how to recognise and respond to the emotions of being a new (or new again) parent, and what options there are for treatment of PND.

I also offer Parenting Support services as a Parenting Consultant.

This is provided through the delivery of Triple P courses and private consultancy.

Triple P's Primary Care course is aimed at parents of children aged 0 – 12 years with mild to moderate behaviour problems and usually runs as a sequence of 4 sessions over 4-6 weeks.

I also teach the full Triple P course to parents of 0-12 years, wanting to learn evidence-based techniques in preparation for a smooth parenting journey. This is ideal for those wanting to get started on the right foot and can be offered to expectant and current parents, grandparents, caregivers or even to Mother's Groups.

My Philosophy

I believe that “it takes a village to raise a child” and equally that “the parent is always the parent”. As such it is your rights as a parent that I uphold. I offer assistance without judgement because I know how difficult and complex the role of being a parent can be, often with few supports, few relevant role models and no “one right way to raise a child”.

All of us as parents receive little or no training about how to parent, so Triple P, backed by decades of research can make a big difference! I believe parenting can and should be enjoyable and I use all my resources to assist you to minimise the stress and boost the happiness involved in raising your children. You deserve a happy family.

Holistic Health

Along with the parenting and child behaviour assessments that are undertaken for the Primary Care and Group Triple P, I undertake a general health assessment of my clients with a view to providing a holistic service. I will provide information and if required, I will make suggestions regarding referral for you or your child.
